The north pacific prehistory scientific journal defends intellectual pluralism and is open to any scholar, whatever his theoretical or methodological current, working on subjects relating to the archaeology of the northern region of the Pacific Ocean. npp publishes original articles on prehistory that contribute to greater knowledge and diffusion of information pertaining to the geographical areas of the Russian Far East, oriental Siberia, Japan, Korea, Alaska and British Columbia. However, npp also accepts works leading to insights on peripheral territories, such as central Siberia, Mongolia, China, the United States or Canada, in order to examine shared questions between Greater Beringia and its surroundings.

Кроме этого npp публикует статьи об исследованиях на сопредельных территориях - в Центральной Сибири, Монголии, Китае, США и Канаде для решения спорных вопросов между Берингией и ее окружением.

La revue scientifique north pacific prehistory (Préhistoire du Pacifique Nord) défend le pluralisme intellectuel et se veut ouverte à tout chercheur, quel que soit son courant théorique ou méthodologique, travaillant sur des sujets relatifs à l'archéologie de la région Nord de l'océan Pacifique. npp publie des articles inédits de préhistoire qui contribuent à une meilleure connaissance et diffusion de l'espace géographique couvrant l'Extrême-Orient russe, la Sibérie orientale, le Japon, la Corée, l'Alaska et la Colombie-Britannique. Cependant, npp accepte aussi des travaux menant une réflexion sur les territoires de la périphérie qui s'étendent vers la Sibérie centrale, la Mongolie, la Chine, les États-Unis ou le Canada, afin d'examiner les questions communes entre la Grande Béringie et ses alentours.
